The following is my answer to a Quora question: “How
many Toastmaster’s Club meetings can you attend as a guest, before you are
required to become a member?”
In Singapore, you can attend as many as you wish, out
of the over two hundred clubs. However,
as a guest, you can only participate in the table topics segment. Speaking slots, and evaluations of any sort
are for Toastmasters.
If you are attending a chapter meeting at the same
club several times, perhaps you should consider joining. The reason why some people are guests in
several clubs is because they are looking for a club that suits them. This sort of shopping is perfectly reasonable,
since different clubs may have entirely different cultures, with some being
more formal than others.
