On the 06th August 2019, I visited EMinent
Communicators Toastmasters Club, as project evaluator. This was also my 2nd visit as Director,
Area A2, for me to complete my report. This
was my 24th club visit on the 37th day of the Toastmaster
year.
Prashanth T. K. spoke about the most precious
commodity in the world, at the moment.
It was big data, and how control and utilisation of the resource moves
economies, grants influence and builds wealth.
Soe Myat Hein spoke about his time in Singapore, over
the last decade, which was in line with the theme of National Day. He said that memories create an attachment to
where we are, and how this country is all but home. This was his very first speech.
Debananda Patro spoke about the art of selling, and
how we create a sense of need. He then
tied it to Ayurvedic medicine in a clever, humorous manner.
The project evaluators were Marshall Cooper, Angela Lansbury
and myself. The language evaluator was
Penny Anne Radcliffe, and Khoo Li Shan was the table topics master. Debananda Patro was also the Toastmaster of
the Day.
Best Table Topics Speaker: Marshall Cooper.
There were no voting for best speaker and best evaluator,
because two people were over the time limit.
