Astro@Radin Mas TMC as Project Evaluator, 01st August 2019

On the 01^st August 2019, I was at Astro@Radin Mas Toastmasters Club as project evaluator.  This was my 22^nd club visit, on the 32^nd day of the Toastmaster year.

The meeting began with the installation of the new ExCo, by Director, Area D1, Lim Chang Jing.  The ExCo are as follows:

President: Li Shan Shan;

Vice-President, Education: Tjong Hendri Chandra;

Vice-President, Membership: Tjong Jhony Chandra;

Vice-President, Public Relations: Loy Hoo Keong;

Secretary: Li Shan Shan;

Treasurer: Tjong Jhony Chandra; and

Sergeant-at-Arms: Tan Chian Huay.

Li Shan Shan’s presidential address was also her project speech, about Toastmasters mentoring.  The second speech, by Tjong Jhony Chandra, was about managing time.  He spoke of his struggle, in his younger days, with procrastination, and time management.  Sam Chou spoke about knowing ourselves, before knowing others.  Naveen Giri spoke about change management.

Eric Tan Shi Wei was the language evaluator.  He also gave a short presentation on rhetorical devices, at the beginning of the meeting so that we could all immediately apply them in our speech.

The project evaluators were Tjong Hendri Chandra, Ivan Lee Kuan Seng, Lim Chang Jing, and myself.

Best Speaker: Sam Chou;

Best Evaluator: Lim Chang Jing; and

Best Table Topics Speaker: Guest.
