Chong Pang TMC as Project Evaluator, 14th July 2019

On the 14^th July 2019, I visited Chong Pang Toastmasters Club, as project evaluator.  This was my 8^th club visit, on the 14^th day of the Toastmasters year.

I would like to congratulate the new Executive Committee on their installation.  I am confident that with Chang Soek Khim as the new president, they will build on the good work of previous Executive Committees, and continue to grow.  The installing officer was Division Z Director, Michael Yonathan.  The new Executive Committee are as follows:

President: Chang Soek Khim;

Vice-President, Education: Tony Tan Sein Wee;

Vice-President, Membership: Loo Guan Yee;

Vice-President, Public Relations: John Tan Eng Guan;

Treasurer: Kok Yee Keong;

Secretary: Benjamin Poh;

Sergeant-at-Arms: Yuvraj Aher; and

Immediate Past President: Kelly Gelvezon

Our toastmaster of the day was Tony Tan Sein Wee.

Shirley Tham Suet Lai did a challenging project.  She gave a keynote address, with PowerPoint slides, on change management in a bank.  She covered many considered points on a macro and micro level, addressing us as the imaginary board.  Her arguments were cogent and persuasive.

Yi Wen gave a speech on the need for financial planning, and the need for passive income.  She gave a detailed speech about insurance and the need for coverage.  At the end of her speech, she revealed she was not a financial services advisor, and had never been one.

The next three speeches were icebreakers by new members.  For first time speeches, they were very good, and this is a testament to the vibrancy of this club.
