Chong Pang TMC as Project Evaluator, 18th August 2019

On the 18^th August 2019, I was at Chong Pang Toastmasters Club, as project evaluator.  This was my 34^th club visit on the 49^th day of the Toastmaster year.

The Toastmaster of the Day was Yuvraj Aher.  The language evaluator was John Sih.  The timer was Mattew Tze.  The ah counter was Benjamin Leow.  The table topics master was Li Shan Shan.

The president, Chang Soek Khim, spoke about embracing change, embracing variety, and making the community accepting and vibrant.  This is reflected in the excellent turnout, and the obvious vibrancy of the club.

Shirley Tham Suet Lai spoke about the onset of artificial intelligence, and how that would lead to the fourth industrial revolution.  She went into detail on the economic changes we can expect over the next few years, the types of jobs we need to transition to, and the occupations heading towards obsolescence.

Yi Wen spoke about relationships.  In her words, she said that in her last speech, she spoke about money, and this time she would speak about love.  She went into some detail about emotional intimacy, and why it is important for a relationship to work.

Both Loo Guan Yee and Tony Tan Sein Wee did the same project, speaking about their leadership styles, their understanding of the different styles, and how they see it evolving.  What was established is that they have different styles for different occasions.

The evaluators were Tony Lim Tong Lee, Sia Hua Lim, Willie Loh Chung Wei, and myself.

Best Speaker: Shirley Tham Suet Lai, and Yi Wen;

Best Evaluator: Sia Hua Lim; and

Best Table Topics Speaker: Benjamin Leow.
