Words, names, whatever we call things, have some echo in history. This is especially so with the names of
countries. Many African countries have
reused the names of ancient kingdoms.
Some of them, such as Egypt, have names given by civilisations that are
long gone. Some of them, such as Democratic
Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, were named by their colonial powers. In this case, it was the Portuguese. Names have history, and Africa, the Dark
Continent, is a place where much of our history and prehistory began.
These are my thoughts on business development and management issues. I worked for years as a consultant and in various positions in the logistics and maritime industry. We have handled projects from training and development to corporate imaging and branding.
