are some of the attributes you want your retirement planner to have?”
You want a retirement planner who has
industry knowledge, as well as an understanding of economic policy. His job is to project your investments up to
retirement. To do that, he must have a
good understanding of the political and economic landscape, how policies shape
that, and the attendant risks. You are
not looking for a salesman who can push financial products.
You want a person of integrity. He must have the qualities of honesty, diligence,
and conscientiousness, in addition to having competence. He must also be discreet. You do not need the world knowing how much you
have, and what you plan to do with it.
