Singapore’s rejection of Huawei for 5G given China a hint that their games are
being seen through around the world?”

Did you actually read the article you cited? Singapore did not exclude Huawei from the bidding. Huawei lost out to Ericsson and Nokia in the main contract, but was awarded part of a smaller contract. Singapore is not going to exclude Huawei from its 5G bidding, and needlessly antagonise China just to please the US. We are not stupid.
