The following is my answer to a Quora question: “What is poor leadership?”
There are many examples and
iterations of poor leadership. In
essence, however, poor leadership is the failure to effectively communicate the
strategic objectives and operational needs to the team and subordinates, resulting
in loss of efficiency and waste of effort and materials. People are effectively not lead, and they
have no incentive to adhere to the values of the organisation.
