Our Chief Executive Officer, Wong Sze Keed, mentioned how proud she is to be a member of the club, and exhorted us to go for greater heights.  Once of the goals she set the club is to increase the membership exponentially, a challenge the club will embrace.

The word of the day, as given by the language evaluator, John Sih S. Y., DTM, was “valiant”.  He gave an entertaining language evaluation, cementing his reputation as one of the best language evaluator in the District.

Adeline Ng, VC5, PM4, our District International Speech Champion, 2021/2022, gave us a first preview of her winning speech, as performed on a stage.  It was a story about overcoming fear, and fighting the beast – in this case personified as a bear – in order to conquer that which holds her back.  She will do us proud at the world stage.

The speakers for the table topics were as follows:

Wekie Tay Choon Huat, DTM, NUS Toastmasters Club and Telok Blangah Toastmasters Club; Julie Ong S.P., DTM, Leng Kee Advanced Toastmasters Club; Hyder bin Muhammad Taufik, PM2, Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club; and Zephaniah Teo Yi Shyan, PM2, Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club.

There winner for the table topics segment was Hyder bin Muhammad Taufik, PM2.

AIA Toastmasters Club is grateful for the support of AIA Singapore, and Toastmasters District 80.
