There are words we need to borrow from other languages. From German, that word of the day is “waldensamkeit”. “Waldensamkeit” is a compound word, from the German “wald”, meaning “forest”; and “einsamkeit”, meaning “alone” or “loneliness”. Literally, it means to be alone in the forest. In literature, it can be said to encompass the sensation we get when we contemplate nature around us, and marvel at its beauty.
