Quora Answer: How Does the PAP Fund Itself?

The PAP, like almost every political party in Singapore, funds itself primarily by membership dues.  The party also owns assets, and property, and these generate income.

Opposition parties such as PKMS generate more income from their assets, primarily rental from properties, than from actual membership dues because their membership is much smaller.  The Reform Party has an investment fund.  Most opposition politicians are independently wealthy themselves, being business owners and professionals.

Aside from this, there are political donations.  The PAP, being the ruling party, likely receives the most political donations.
